Best Time to Travel: Dry Season (December–April)

Panama is a country where you can watch 150,000-ton ships cross the Panama Canal, explore the autonomous coral islands of Guna Yala, and hike through the high-altitude coffee estates of Boquete. See the Spanish colonial ruins of Casco Viejo and the world-renowned biodiversity of Coiba National Park in this nation defined by its role as a continental bridge, featuring highly advanced infrastructure and a Caribbean coast that remains largely off-the-grid.
Discover Panama
The 82-kilometre canal uses gravity-fed locks to lift Neo-Panamax ships 26 metres above sea level. At the Miraflores Visitors Centre, you can observe the 110-year-old mitre gates in action, while the Agua Clara expansion on the Atlantic side handles massive container ships. A full transit crosses the Gaillard Cut, a narrow 13.7-kilometre excavation through the Continental Divide.
Casco Viejo is a 17th-century walled city featuring the Altar de Oro (Golden Altar) and the ruins of the 1673 Santo Domingo Convent. Its streets showcase a mix of French-mandate façades and Spanish colonial stone, now housing the Museo del Canal. The district’s sea-wall promenade, the Paseo de las Bóvedas, offers views of the Bridge of the Americas and the canal entrance.

Let’s do it! Perhaps you already know what you want to see and do, perhaps you don’t. Either way, we’ll create the best Panama tour for you.
Continue your journey with more carefully curated destinations, each offering its own unique experiences, culture, and unforgettable moments.
Located within the 129,000-hectare Chagres National Park, the Embera Drua and Parara Puru villages are accessed via traditional dugout canoes (piraguas). These communities use the jagua fruit for body painting and weave watertight hösig di baskets from chunga palm fibres. Tourism here directly funds the preservation of the Embera-Wounaan language and local rainforest conservation.
