Best Time to Travel: Summer Activities (November–February) & Winter Sports (July)

Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, spanning nearly 4,000 kilometres from the subtropical border of Brazil to the sub-antarctic tip of Tierra del Fuego. It is the only nation containing both Iguazú Falls, the world’s largest waterfall system with 275 drops, and the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few advancing ice masses on Earth. Defined by the contrast between the European-style grit of Buenos Aires and the high-altitude deserts of the Andes, Argentina has a unique combination of Latin American identity and vast, open-frontier geography.
Discover Argentina
The capital, Buenos Aires, is a city of 48 distinct barrios, including the colourful La Boca and the historic San Telmo. It is the hub for the country’s cultural exports: Tango and the world-class opera at Teatro Colón. Beyond the city limits lie the Estancias (ranches) of the Pampas, where the Asado (barbeque) is a central social ritual and the horse remains a primary tool for managing millions of heads of cattle.
Southern Argentina is defined by Los Glaciares National Park, which contains the massive Perito Moreno Glacier, a 250-square-kilometre ice formation. The region is a premier destination for trekking, specifically around the jagged peaks of Cerro Torre and the town of El Chaltén. At the continent’s edge, the Tierra del Fuego archipelago is a rugged landscape of peat bogs and beech forests, where the Pan-American Highway finally ends.

Let’s do it! Perhaps you already know what you want to see and do, perhaps you don’t. Either way, we’ll create the best Argentina tour for you.
Continue your journey with more carefully curated destinations, each offering its own unique experiences, culture, and unforgettable moments.
In the north, the landscape shifts from the lush rainforests of Misiones, home to the 2.7-kilometre-wide Iguazú Falls, to the arid Quebrada de Humahuaca canyon. This high-altitude desert region is the centre of Argentina’s indigenous heritage, characterised by the Hill of Seven Colours and the Salinas Grandes salt flats. It is a region of colonial towns and extreme geological formations that contrast sharply with the alpine south.
