Time to Travel: Spring (April-May) & Autumn (September-October)

Serbia lies at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, where Roman, Ottoman, and Austro-Hungarian influences meet. Travel to Serbia and explore medieval monasteries, fortress towns, and lively river cities. See the fortress of Belgrade, trace Roman ruins in Nis, and travel through mountain landscapes in Tara and Zlatibor.
Discover Serbia
Belgrade, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, lies at the confluence of the Danube and Sava Rivers. Its landmarks include Kalemegdan Fortress, Saint Sava Temple, and the pedestrian Knez Mihailova Street. The riverfront area of Beton Hala houses cafes and galleries in converted warehouses.
Novi Sad, Serbia’s second-largest city, hosts the annual EXIT music festival inside Petrovaradin Fortress, an 18th-century Habsburg structure overlooking the Danube. The nearby Fruska Gora National Park contains 16 Orthodox monasteries built between the 15th and 18th centuries.
Tara National Park protects dense forests and the Drina River canyon, with hiking trails to Banjska Stena viewpoint and Perucac Lake. Zlatibor has beautiful walking paths, open-air museums such as Sirogojno, and scenic train routes on the historic Sargan Eight railway.
